Which one of us had to buy a souvenir?

Which one of us had to buy a souvenir?

I read several China travel books before coming to Beijing.

When it came to tourist traps, most agreed The Wall is Disney with history.

When it came to food, some agreed Peking Duck is the burger and fries of China.

When it came to the weather, all concurred this fact:

Never visit Beijing in August.

It’s monsoon season.  And here is your proof.  We got caught in a surprise storm.

“Surprise” storms don’t happen in Sacramento where we have the benefit of a gazillion dollars worth of radars and the priceless knowledge of our Weather Plus staff.

They happen all the time here.  Hence the cheesy umbrella I had to buy in the Olympic Souvenir Palace.
