Seeing Gold

Last night the U.S. Women’s Soccer team won the gold, in match agaist Brazil, and today they stopped by to talk about it.

Women’s Work Is Never Done. And Here’s Why:
July 28, 2008
We get better with age — and with motherhood too — according to U.S. Olympic Soccer Co-Captain Kate Markgraf.
Traveling with her two year old son forced her to chill out. “I used to be very regimented and needed eight hours of sleep ,” she told our crew.
But now?
She can be up all night with a teething toddler and still deliver Brazil a smack-down in a crucial game the next day. “We beat them 2-nothing and I played the best game I played the entire year. It showed me…all that matters is what you mentally want to do each day.”
But we didn’t need to tell you that, did we ladies?
Love,
Olympic Kate
